What Information African Wildlife Foundation Collects

Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. Once you provide your personal information, you are not anonymous to AWF.

Credit Card Information

To process donations and adoptions, AWF uses a third party vendor for processing credit card information. AWF does not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers. If you choose to provide your credit card information to AWF we will use that information for the purposes for which it was provided.

How African Wildlife Foundation Uses Your Information:

AWF may use your information:

  • To process and respond to inquiries and for the purposes for which you provided the information, such as to process donations, register or renew you as a member, purchase merchandise, or receive information about a project.

AWF never shares (rents or exchanges) email addresses or phone numbers.

Opt-Out and Correction Procedures:

New members are provided an opportunity to opt-out of list sharing as they make their first gift. In addition, all gift acknowledgements include the opportunity to opt out.

Internet Protocol Address:

We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Website. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet.
